Like all empires, I figured that the US would eventually end
up no longer being top dog. My best guess was that it would
rust away slowly, sort of like the British Empire. Instead, it
is going to be laughed out of existence. I really do not see
how it can ever be respected again. Who would have
guessed?

You are bang on as usual. :-) On a serious note, I have
come to realize that even before the current implosion of
crazy, the best product they sold was bullshit and
propaganda.

It only the land of the free if you are rich. You do have the
freedom to shoot kids in school, poison the environment with
all kinds of toxins, steal from the poor, insult (and kill) people
who do not look like you (to wit: the number of poor black
men Texas executes yearly), slander, sexually assault women
and little kids, etc.

And they stand at attention with their hands over their
hearts staring at a flag before they go somewhere and
interfere with other countries affairs and get killed.

This is what they are good at. Convincing others that they
have the best country in the world. They do not. We might
fear them, but we do not respect them. And now we are
laughing at them.

That they might. I thought I had the freedom to express
myself outside of their country, but upon reflection, that
only applies to rich pigs. I am neither. :-) I believe they
would destroy me if they decided it would make them more
money.
