I'm sure that I have seen this warning in here
before but just another heads up for those not in
the know.
Fraudulent Email Circulating
Dear EastLink High Speed customer,
A fraudulent email is circulating and the authors
are posing as EastLink. The fraudulent email
requests customers to confirm the activity of
their EastLink WebMail account or it will be
shutdown. Customers are requested to complete a
form and submit personal information to a false
email address. DO NOT COMPLETE THIS FORM.
The safety and security of our customers' email
accounts is important to us. We wish to reiterate
that:
* EastLink DOES NOT request passwords from
customers and is not contacting customers to
request personal information or the status of
their current email account.
* Customers receiving emails requesting these
activities should immediately delete it from their
system and please do not reply to the email.
* If you have filled out the fraudulent form
please change your password immediately by
clicking on the Forgotten password button at
https://webmail.eastlink.ca
* We encourage you to contact your local
police in the event you feel your personal
information may have been compromised.
* If you receive this email or others like it
requesting personal information please DELETE IT
from your system.
We encourage customers to use an Internet Security
System like EastLink Internet Security Services to
protect their computer from viruses, spyware or
