Oakley's website says that it's very difficult to tell it they are
counterfeit or not and suggest sending them in to have a certified
technician evaluate the glasses. Here's their website:

If you buy them from a greasy looking dude with a setup on the waterfront
then they are fake. WinkWink

Most "foakleys" will have the copyrighted sign beside the Oakley logo to
avoid being sued.

Also, most real Oakley's have the word "jackets" written on the inside of
the ear thingies near where the they join by the lenses.

Atleast this was true a few years ago ... I dunno if the fakes have become
better.

If you can't tell the difference then who else can. Save yourself the money
and get the fake ones. Same product, less money.

No....not the same product. "Real" Oakleys' have a far superior lens and
frame. You get what you pay for !
