Many of you may recall a show that Nova Scotia Light & Power used to
put on years ago called "Fantasyland". I vaguely remember seeing this
myself in the early 70's. It used to be set up at the NSL&P
storefront at the back of the old Capitol Theatre building and later
on at Scotia Square. I understand it was also presented on CJCH-TV.
I have just posted a few pictures on my website of this display. If
you can offer any anecdotes, information, background, etc, please
post, I would love to know more. The link is below. Thanks for your
help!

I seem to remember that when I was a kid, they used to show it on
CJCH TV every Christmas season. I never knew it was in the city, I
just thought it was some television thing.

Oh my gawd! Does that ever bring back pleasant memories of my
childhood. The old Light and Power bldg where the Maritime Centre now
is. The entrance was along the side of the building across from the
Cue & Cushion.

Memories galore! My parents took me there for a few years during
the 60s - I remember how fascinated I was by the "automatic movements"
of some of the displays. As I recall, that large moon looked kind of
eerie to me as a child, but I'll never forget going to Fantasyland!

Thanks for the fond memories, went to see this lots as a kid. I think
it might have even been at the Light and Power Co. in the Bayers Road
Shopping ctr. at one time too.
