Where to find Agricultural supplies - hog panel fence?

Okay, I'm opening up a hog farm in Sambro and I'm looking for some hog
panels. I'm only half kidding, although my property is apparently
zoned for every use except a salvage yard and a mobile home park.

I came across a site on frugal gardening and want to make an arbour out
of one of these things (see picture at the link below).

http://www.bondpiano.com/Dirt2006/hogpanelarbor.html

The site says they cost around $18 US and I'm wondering where Nova
Scotia farmers buy their stuff such as this and how much more expensive
they might be here. I found them on a site for a farm co-op store in
Medicine Hat but could only find Atlantic Co-op, the grocery stores,
here in NS.

Thanks!

Your info source is in Iowa. I don't think it's called "hog panels"
here. Maybe in Iowa it's sold in flat pieces but in the east --
Canada and US -- I've only seen it as rolls of wire. You have to buy
a whole roll. And it's called hog wire or hog fencing.

One thing to note is that hog wire has horizontal strands at different
spacing, the lower ones being closer together so the small pigs can't
get through and the big one can't get their snouts into it as
easily. [1]

So you might consider sheep wire, which has uniform spacing and thus
uses less wire and so should cost a bit less.

I've bought both (albeit years ago) from the Farmer's Coop in
Bridgewater. Surely there are also similar businesses in Windsor and
points west in the Valley as well as out around Truro.

You might try calling some of the places listed here:

takes a mind to.

Try the coop in milford, about 30 min drive from dartmouth. If you call the
coop grocery number in book, just ask them for farm supply. they have an
extension and are part of the same store.
